Material Tracking Base System (BH–MTS):
A PC–based material tracking and traceability system that supports lot, license–plate, serial number and expiration date tracking of raw, intermediate and finished goods. It includes the ability to track the receipt and shipment of materials as well as the entry into inventory and withdrawal of materials. The base system includes the ability to do basic inventory auditing/cycle counting. It also includes the DEX interface that can be used to import and export data as comma delimited files. DEX can also be used by external programs to automatically transfer data into and out of the BellHawk database.

Production Tracking Base System (BH–PTS):
A PC–based job/work-order tracking system. Generates barcoded travelers for tracking jobs. Tracks the transformation of materials, such as in a manufacturing, processing, assembly, packaging or repair operation Records materials used on job steps as well as unused materials returned from job steps. Tracks WIP as it flows from operation to operation, including tracking barcoded WIP, and the production of barcoded finished materials. Tracks status of jobs in real-time as well as labor used on jobs. It includes the DEX interface that can be used to import and export BOMs and Routes as comma delimited files. DEX can also be used by external programs to automatically transfer data into and out of the BellHawk database.

Job and Materials Tracking Base System (BH-JMTS):
Combines the capabilities of the material tracking base system and the production tracking base system into one integrated base system. This is our most popular base system.

Purchase Order Receiving Module (BH–PO):
Supports input of supplier/vendor purchase orders; generates barcoded receiving sheets; receives material against open supplier purchase orders; identifies materials using pre–printed "license plate" tracking barcodes or vendor applied tracking barcodes. Transactions supported on both PCs and mobile computers.

Sales Order Picking, Packing and Shipping Module (BH–SO):
Supports input of customer orders; records picking, packing and shipping of customer orders; provides the ability to print out barcoded picking/packing sheets; picks materials against customer orders; warns if wrong item or quantity being picked or packed; works with serialized items and containers having "license plate" tracking barcodes as well as loose items in barcoded bins. Pick orders show location of materials to be picked in oldest–first order on mobile computer screens.

Inventory Auditing Module (BH-IAM):
This module supplements the standard BellHawk verify-adjust transaction by enabling a team of people to "take inventory" using mobile data collection computers. As the inventory is taken at each location, the discrepancies between what is supposed to be there and what is actually there are written into a discrepancies table. This table can be exported as a report or an Excel spreadsheet. The system then enables a materials manager to track and correct for any discrepancies, while maintaining a full time-tagged audit trail. The major benefit of the BellHawk IAM is that production and warehouse operations do not have to be shut down while inventory is being taken. Instead inventory can be taken incrementally while operations are in progress. This can result in more accurate inventory auditing and a considerable savings in overtime payments for people to come in at weekends and over holidays to take inventory. Quality Control Tracking Option (BH–QC):
Tracks QC status of containers and serialized products and generates a warning message if an attempt is made to use or ship materials that have not passed QC inspection or if an attempt is made to move material that has not passed QC to a non–quarantine location. Automatically sets up QC status of materials at receiving time; supports pre–approved vendor materials and statistical QC tracking of material lots. QC managers can change the QC status of containers using PCs or mobile computers by scanning the tracking barcodes on containers and then entering the pass/fail status. Feature set available depends on capabilities of base system and other modules in system.

Resource Tracking Option (BH–RTO):
Provides capability to setup resources (typically machines) by work center and then track the setup time, run–time, down–time, and cleanup time for each resource on a job/batch step using scanning on a PC equipped with a barcode scanner. Includes screen to show real–time status of resources; requires PTS.

Third Party Logistics Support (BH–3PL):
Enables shipping using an unlimited number of "doing–business–as" (DBA) names over the one company name provided with base systems.

Advanced Production Tracking (BH–APT):
Handles split batches, backflushing and run groups (combined jobs). All actions are performed through PCs. Requires PTS.

Activity Based Costing Option (BH–ABC):
Tracks cost of labor, materials and resources consumed on each job step and adds these up to compute the cost of a job/batch. Also includes the ability to compare actual times and costs versus standards. Includes screen for supervisors to edit labor and resource hours and materials consumed, if employees make data recording mistakes; requires PTS; needs resource tracking option to include resource costs.

Allocated Inventory Tracking (BH–AIT):
Tracks available inventory; takes into account physical inventory plus inventory on order or being made less inventory to be consumed in making products as well as inventory to be shipped against orders or sales forecasts; requires PTS as well as SO and PO modules.

Pull-Based Inventory Management (BH-PBIM):
Performs materials requirements planning based on orders, jobs and sales forecasts. Starts with current status of production, materials on-order and planned jobs and then determines what materials need to be ordered and/or made and when. PBIM does a recursive walk down the bills of material, taking into account the number of days, on average, needed to make or receive materials. PBIM does not take into account the availability of resources but, as a result, is a very easy to use tool that requires very little additional data entry beyond that needed for material and job tracking. It gives a great "starting-point" plan that can then be easily adjusted based on managers and supervisors knowledge and the current situation. PBIM runs in a few minutes, so it is possible to redo the plan frequently as machines break-down and rush orders come-in. Requires allocated inventory tracking as a pre-requisite.

Blanket Sales Order/Contract Support (BH–BCO):
Supports the entry of contract and contract line item information; tracks multiple ship orders against a contract or blanket purchase order; requires SO.

Shipping Dock Option (BH–SDO):
Assigns orders to shipment; manages shipments and truck arrival at dock; checks that correct materials are loaded onto truck; records which cartons or pallets go onto which truck; produces bills of lading and manifests for shipments; records shipments of orders; requires SO.

Fetch Option (BH–FETCH):
Used to request the picking of materials from a warehouse or stockroom for transfer to the production floor or to fetch materials from one facility to another (with per-facility support licensed for more than one facility). Fetch request is entered on a PC and then shows up on a mobile computer. Fetch can generate a barcoded picking sheet if needed. Fetch request shows location of material in an oldest–first order on mobile computer; records picking of fetch orders; warns if wrong item or quantity being picked; works with serialized items and containers having "license plate" tracking barcodes as well as loose items in barcoded bins; transactions work on wireless mobile computers. Multi-Facility Support for mobile computers is recommended if this is being used to pick materials in one facility for transfer to another.

Advanced Shipment Notice Option (BH–ASN):
Generates an ascii file or table containing ASN data for a shipment, ready for import into an EDI system by means of flat–file or ODBC transfer; requires MTS plus SO. Also works with shipping dock option.

Tag Option (BH–TAG):
Works in conjunction with the BarTender® Enterprise software package to automatically generate barcode labels and RFID tags based on data and label formats stored in the BellHawk database; works with combination barcode printers/RFID tag encoders; generates both product and shipping container labels and RFID tags; prints specific labels for use when materials are received or entered into inventory; labels raw, intermediate and finished goods containers as well as serialized items; generates labels and RFID tags for shipping containers and pallets. Typically requires customization for specific applications.

Mobile Computer Cradle Security Option (BH–MCCS):
Provides the ability to have the BSAF store and forward technology work only when the mobile computer is placed in a cradle attached to a PC. Enables the wireless communications mode to be turned off when in secure facilities and yet have the system fully functional, except for real–time updates. Unlike conventional "batch" processing, full point-of-action data validation is enabled against the local SQL database in the mobile computer.

Per Facility Support (BH–PFS):
As standard MTS comes with one "slot" per facility name with which locations, purchase orders and sales orders can be associated. This extension allows organizations to purchase additional slots to support operations in multiple facilities. Includes Multi–Facility Support which provides an additional level of support for mobile computers operating in remote facilities. It restricts purchase orders, ship orders, pick orders, fetch orders and locations downloaded into a mobile computer to just those associated with the facility with which the mobile computer is related. It also restricts container status updates, such as those resulting from moves, to just those containers whose location is associated with the facility to which the mobile computer is associated.
